The Department of Botany was started in the college in 2017 besides the establishment of the college.Botany is one of the subjects in the first and second year syllabi of B.sc,(B.Z.C)students. But in the syllabus of the third year students of the same group, it is treated as a special subject.
There is a laboratory for the department of Botany in the college. The laboratory is well equipped with instruments. The department is enriched with learning resources such as permanent slides, models, herbarium and microscopes and other modern facilities like computers, internet .With the help of the facilities available, the students can cultivate the quality of independent learning.
