Government Degree College, Perumallapuram was established in the Year 2017, as per G.O. Ms. No. 45 dated 15-7-2016 based on the representations of local People and the G.O Ms No.56 of Higher Education (CE) Department. It is located in East Godavari District and 39 Kilometers away from the District Head quarter Kakinada.
With the Orders of the District Collector, East Godavari, the college was started in an NCRMP Cyclone Shelter near Lakshmanudupeta village of Thondangi Mandal in the year of 2017.Since then, the college has been run in the same building.
